Barboleuse Gondola summer opening and Flowtrail Les Chaux

Summer starts early in Gryon. In June, the Barboleuse Gondola opens on selected weekends, giving direct access to Les Chaux, the mountain scenery and the Flowtrail Les Chaux-Barboleuse.

It is the perfect opportunity to start the summer season at altitude, enjoy the first mountain bike weekends and make the most of your Magic Pass before the daily high-season opening begins.

Early opening on June weekends

Before the daily summer opening, the Barboleuse Gondola will operate on the following June weekends:

• Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2026
• Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June 2026
• Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026
• From 26 to 30 June 2026

Opening hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

From 26 June, the gondola enters its summer schedule with daily opening during the main season.

Flowtrail Les Chaux-Barboleuse: start your MTB season

Accessible directly via the Barboleuse–Les Chaux Gondola, the DH Flow Trail Les Chaux-Barboleuse takes riders from Les Chaux down to La Barboleuse on a 3.73 km intermediate trail.

The trail starts near the gondola arrival at 1,763 m and descends to La Barboleuse at 1,218 m. Allow around 30 minutes for the ride — a solid option to get back on the bike and enjoy the Gryon sector early in the summer season.

A helmet is mandatory. A mountain bike or e-bike is recommended, along with gloves. Ride within your limits, follow the signage and respect other users on the trail.

Magic Pass: make the most of the first weekends

Got a Magic Pass? The June opening weekends are a simple reason to head back up before peak season. A mountain bike ride, a walk around Les Chaux, a break in the sun or a day out with friends: Barboleuse is one of the easiest ways to enjoy Gryon and the mountains early in the summer.
