Mountain Cart in Villars-sur-Ollon : The ultimate summer thrill
The Mountain Cart is a downhill activity in Villars during the summer season. This gliding sport, halfway between a go-kart and a mountain bike, combines adrenaline, alpine scenery, and the pleasure of speed. This three-wheeled vehicle, equipped with a low center of gravity, a high-performance braking system, and wide tires, allows riders to travel along mountain paths. Relatively lightweight and easy to handle, it adapts to almost all types of terrain and offers a ride that is both fun and full of thrills on the Mountain Cart track in Villars.
The Villars Mountain Cart track is accessible via the Roc d’Orsay cable car and stretches over 5 km with a vertical drop of 700 m.

Getting there & How the activity works
- Please arrive at the Roc d’Orsay ticket office 10 minutes before your session for check-in.
- Take the Roc d’Orsay gondola, then head to the starting area located on the left after passing through the building.
- After a safety briefing and receiving your equipment, get ready for the adventure.
- Then set off on a fun and thrilling downhill ride !
- At the end, simply return your equipment to our staff → we’ll take care of the rest.

- Opening hours : 10:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m., daily during the summer season
- Mountain Cart activity reservation : online booking required (limited number of carts available)
- Mountain Cart prices : 1 run - CHF 20.- / 2 runs - CHF 35.- (cable car ticket not included)
- Magic Pass 26/27 : valid on the Roc d’Orsay cable car
- Cable car pricing : 1 section → 1 Mountain Cart run : Adult - CHF 20.- / Child - CHF 10.-
- Cable car pricing : 2 sections → 2 Mountain Cart runs : Adult - CHF 28.- / Child - CHF 14.-
- Age and height requirement : from 12 years and 140 cm minimum with an adult / from 16 years unattended
- Activity duration : ~1:15 → 1 Mountain Cart run / ~2:30 → 2 Mountain Cart runs
- Recommended equipment : sportswear. Helmets are provided during the briefing.
- Rainy weather : the activity runs as long as the track is safe and the cable car is operating. Please wear waterproof and mud-proof clothing.
- In case of delay : we cannot guarantee availability of the session at the chosen time.
- Golden Hour : additional session on Saturday evenings for 1 or 2 Mountain Cart runs, subject to favorable weather conditions.
