FLOWTRAIL | GRYON

The Gryon Flowtrail is one of the most playful mountain bike experiences in the Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets area. Starting at Les Chaux, this purpose-built trail offers around 3.5 kilometres of flowing descent towards La Barboleuse, designed for smooth riding and maximum fun.

Accessible via the Barboleuse–Les Chaux gondola, the trail immediately drops into a series of well-shaped berms, rollers and gentle features that guide riders through forest sections and open clearings. The route maintains a consistent flow, making it easy to link turns and build confidence while enjoying the surrounding alpine scenery.

Designed as a blue flowtrail, it is perfectly suited for beginners and intermediate riders, while still offering enough rhythm and speed to keep more experienced riders engaged. Its accessible profile and playful layout make it ideal for repeat runs throughout the day.

The Flowtrail has become a key highlight of the mountain biking offer in Gryon, providing a fun and approachable downhill experience in the heart of the Vaud Alps.

The descent begins at Les Chaux, above Gryon, at around 1,800 metres, offering a scenic starting point overlooking the Vaud Alps.

The upper section quickly introduces wide berms and smooth rollers, allowing riders to find their rhythm from the first turns. As the trail drops into the forest, the flow continues through a sequence of well-shaped corners and gentle features designed to keep speed without requiring heavy pedalling.

Further down, the trail alternates between wooded sections and more open clearings, maintaining a consistent gradient and a playful riding experience. The final part leads smoothly towards La Barboleuse, with a few tighter turns adding variety before reaching the valley.

Thanks to its accessible profile and continuous flow, the trail is perfect for multiple runs in a day, whether to build confidence or simply enjoy the ride.
