Mountain Cart in Villars: The ultimate summer thrill
Mountain Cart is a downhill summer activity on the slopes of Villars. This hybrid between a go-kart and a mountain bike combines speed, fun, and Alpine scenery. With a low center of gravity, powerful brakes, and wide tires, these three-wheeled carts are stable and safe for all types of terrain.
Lightweight and easy to handle, Mountain Carts offer a smooth and secure ride down the specially prepared track in Villars. The Villars Mountain Cart track is 5 km long with a vertical drop of 700 m and is accessible via the Roc d’Orsay gondola.

Practical information
- Online booking is mandatory.
- The activity is available daily during summer, from Saturday, June 14 to Monday, September 22.
- There are 5 possible departure times each day: 10:00 – 11:30 – 13:00 – 14:30 – 16:00.
- The activity lasts about 1 hour, including the gondola ride.
- Please arrive at the starting point at the time indicated for the beginning of your time slot. E.g. [10:00-11:30]: activity starts at 10:00.
- Minimum age and height requirements: 12 years old and 140 cm.
- The gondola ticket is not included in the activity booking (Magic Pass is valid).
- Recommended equipment: sportswear. Helmets are provided.
On the Day of the Activity
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your reserved time at the Roc d'Orsay ticket office, located at the bottom of the stairs (see coordinates below).
- Recommended equipment: Sportswear; helmet is provided.
- In case of rain, the activity will go ahead as long as the track remains safely accessible and the gondola is operating.Waterproof and mud-resistant clothing is recommended.
- In case of late arrival, we cannot guarantee the availability of your reserved time slot.
