Golden Hour: Sunset Magic in the Swiss Alps
Join us this summer for six exclusive Golden Hour events, offering breathtaking 360° views from the summit of the Roc d'Orsay in the golden light of evening.
Every Saturday from July 12 to August 16, 2025, the Roc d'Orsay gondola runs outside its usual hours, giving you a rare chance to experience the mountains in the glow of sunset. Whether you're a photographer, nature lover, or simply looking to unwind with a drink and view, it's a moment suspended in time between sky and peaks.

During these events, the Roc d'Orsay gondola and the Rocco Cantina Italiana restaurant are open continuously from 10:00 to 21:00 (subject to weather conditions).
Practical Info
- Open Lifts: Roc d'Orsay gondola
- Tickets: available online, at ticket machines, or at TVGD sales points. The Magic Pass is valid.
- Cancellation: In case of bad weather, the event may be cancelled or postponed. Please check our website or social media for updates.
- Dining: The Italian restaurant Rocco Cantina Italiana is open and serves delicious pizzas.
- Operating Hours: Last descent at 9:00 PM.
- Reservations: No reservation is required for the event. However, reservations are highly recommended for the restaurant.
An Italian restaurant at the top of the Roc d’Orsay gondola
Located in the heart of the Villars-Gryon-Diablerets ski area, our pizzeria is the perfect spot for a delicious break during a day of skiing or mountain hiking.
The restaurant is also a destination in itself, as it is easily accessible to everyone via the Roc d’Orsay gondola, which connects the Villars resort to our establishment in less than 10 minutes.
