Ski & Luge by Night in Les Diablerets

Every Thursday evening from mid-December to early April, Les Diablerets comes alive under the night sky with its illuminated “Willy Favre” ski slope and the famous 7.2 km luge run. These Nocturnes offer a unique winter experience—ski under the stars, sled after dark, enjoy fondue or hot drinks at the Mazots, and embrace alpine tranquillity. It’s the perfect event for families, couples or friends looking for fresh, memorable mountain moments.

Activity Overview

    • What: Night skiing on an illuminated slope + night toboggan run (sled)

    • When: Thursdays evenings, approx. 18:30 - 21:30 / during winter season (mid-December → end of March / early April)

    • Ski slope: “Willy Favre” slope, an upgraded piste with ~550 m vertical drop for skiers and snowboarders

    • Luge run: 7.2 km sledging route, separated from the ski slopes, safe and scenic

Getting There

  • Montez avec la télécabine Diablerets Express jusqu’au sommet (Mazots)

  • Louez votre luge auprès de prestataires (ex: Mountain Evasion)

  • Si vous skiez, utilisez la piste éclairée pour la descente

  • En fin de parcours ou au Mazots, détendez-vous avec un vin chaud ou fondue avant ou après la descente

Practical Info

  • Tickets: available online, at ticket machines, or at TVGD sales points. The Magic Pass is valid.
  • Best season: winter (mid-December through end of March / early April), nights only when snow & weather conditions are favourable
    Age & group suitability: ideal for familie
  • Age Guidelines: From 3 years with adult; from 8 years unattended. For nocturnes: from 6 years.
  • Pricing: Sledge rental: CHF 12-20 (depending on model/duration). Gondola one-way: CHF 20 (adult), CHF 10 (child); Daily pass: CHF 34 (adult), CHF 17 (child)
  • Safety Notes: Sledges with runners only—plastic discs or snow tubes prohibited. Dogs and ski/snowboard boots not allowed.
  • Equipment: sledges “Davos” style available for rent; ski gear for ski portion; headlamp recommended for sledding run
