Night ski touring in Villars – A Magical Mountain Experience
Every Tuesday evening, embark on a unique alpine adventure along a dedicated, secure route designed for night ski touring. Far from the groomed slopes, this experience combines sport and serenity, offering breathtaking views of the Vaud Alps illuminated by moonlight.
Two routes are available:
- Piste Populaire: a gradual climb, perfect for a relaxed outing (about 1 hour).
- Bouquetin: a more challenging option for those seeking a tougher ascent (about 45 minutes).
Whether you choose the gentle Piste Populaire or the more challenging Bouquetin route, you’ll enjoy a safe climb through pristine landscapes. This activity is perfect for ski touring enthusiasts seeking an evening escape, as well as beginners looking to try something new in a controlled environment.

Follow a marked and secure itinerary for a peaceful climb away from groomed slopes. The route is open until 22:00, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the experience.
After your ascent, two mountain restaurants are ready to welcome you: Rocco Cantina Italiana and Maison de Montagne de Bretaye.
Bring a headlamp and stay strictly on the designated routes, as snow groomers operate on other slopes.

Getting there
Start from the Roc d’Orsay gondola in Villars-sur-Ollon. The route is clearly marked to ensure your safety throughout the climb.
Night ski touring takes place every Tuesday evening during the winter season. The itinerary is open from 18:00 to 22:00.
After your effort, relax and enjoy a meal or a warm drink at one of the mountain restaurants open in the evening: Rocco Cantina Italiana or Maison de Montagne de Bretaye.
