Midsummer in Taveyanne 2026 | Gryon

The traditional Midsummer in Taveyanne returns to Gryon on Saturday, 1 and Sunday, 2 August 2026, in the authentic setting of the hamlet of Taveyanne.

Organised by the Youth of Gryon, this pastoral festival brings together locals, summer visitors, families and friends in the heart of the mountain pasture, with living traditions, music, a convivial meal and the picoulet dance.

Why experience Midsummer in Taveyanne?

For hundreds of years, Midsummer has marked a moment of gathering in the middle of the alpine grazing season. In the past, families would go up to Taveyanne to meet the young herdsmen, bring supplies and share a festive moment in the pastures.

Today, the listed historic hamlet of Taveyanne still offers a unique setting, with its authentic chalets and wooden roofs. Every first weekend in August, this bucolic celebration keeps one of Gryon’s most cherished traditions alive.
