General Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") govern the use of services provided by Télé-Villars-Gryon-Diablerets SA (TVGD) and Mountaincart Villars Sàrl, a subsidiary of TVGD (hereinafter "the Company", "we", "our" or "us").
By purchasing tickets, passes, or using any service from TVGD, you (hereinafter "the Client", "you") agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services. For any questions, contact our customer service.
2. Scope
TVGD’s services include the transportation of people and goods on all ski lifts or leisure facilities it owns, rental of equipment for leisure or sports activities, and food service in restaurants operated by the company or its subsidiaries. This also includes any related additional services. A Client is any individual or legal entity that has entered into a contract with TVGD. The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time; changes take effect upon publication.
3. Services provided
TVGD offers various services, including:
Access to and transport via ski lifts
Ski passes (day, multi-day, season)
Pedestrian, mountain bike or sledge passes (one-way, round-trip, day pass, multi-day)
Passes including accommodation and/or meals and/or transport and/or activities
Activities in snowparks
Leisure activities including equipment rental
4. Prices
Prices may change at any time and are those confirmed at the time of order. Multi-day transport ticket prices are discounted but non-refundable in case of lift closures due to circumstances beyond our control.
5. Tickets and Passes
A valid medium is required for purchasing and using any transport ticket. Tickets and passes are personal and non-transferable. In the event of fraud (e.g. using someone else’s ticket), a minimum fine of CHF 200 will be charged. Misused tickets will be confiscated and civil or criminal proceedings may apply.
5.1 Validity
Tickets and passes are only valid during the published operating hours. They are not valid during special or nighttime events outside these hours.
5.2 Loss or Theft
No refund is given for lost or stolen tickets. Replacement is only possible with proof of purchase (receipt). A handling fee of CHF 5.00 applies for reissuing a card.
5.3 Refund Policy
5.3.1 Illness or Accident:
No refund will be granted in the event of illness or accident.
5.3.2 Bad Weather or Force Majeure:
No refund or extension will be granted due to bad weather or other force majeure events.
5.3.3 Operational Interruptions:
Operations may be interrupted for safety reasons, snow or weather conditions, or health crises. No refunds or extensions are granted. Ski lifts are subject to Swiss transport law.
5.3.4 Slope Closures:
Closure of ski slopes does not entitle the Client to a refund or extension.
5.3.5 Unexpected Departure:
Early departure does not entitle the Client to a refund or extension.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available at our sales points. They are transferable and can be gifted to others. They cannot be exchanged for cash, do not accrue interest, and are valid for one year from the purchase date (as indicated on the confirmation).
7. Leisure Activities
Clients must follow all usage instructions and attend safety briefings when applicable. Clients must understand the instructions or arrange for a translation. If not, they must inform TVGD staff and withdraw from the activity. Clients must not be under the influence of alcohol or substances. TVGD reserves the right to exclude participants who do not comply with safety instructions and accepts no liability for accidents resulting from non-compliance. By participating, the Client accepts the risks and waives any claim for damages.
8. Equipment Rental
The Client must return rental equipment in the same condition as received. The Client is liable for loss, theft, or damage, and agrees to pay replacement or repair costs. Normal wear and tear is covered by TVGD.
TVGD is not liable for any accident directly or indirectly involving rental equipment during the rental period.
9. Rescue Services
In the event of an accident within the domain, a minimum fee of CHF 200 will be charged by TVGD’s rescue service. Third-party costs (doctor, helicopter, ambulance, transport outside the domain) are billed separately and remain the Client’s responsibility.
10. Lift Use Conditions and Passenger Conduct
(Pursuant to SN EN 12397:2017)
Passengers must act in ways that do not endanger themselves, others, the lift systems, or the environment. Misconduct may result in the withdrawal of the transport ticket.
10.1 General Rules
Obey all signs and symbols
Only access authorized areas
Embark/disembark at designated zones
Do not swing vehicles
Do not throw or hold items outside
Exit promptly at unloading areas
No smoking in stations or on lifts
Never attempt to operate the lift
Do not misuse emergency devices
Do not damage or soil the facilities
Do not obstruct operations
10.2 Gondolas
Do not tamper with doors
Remain seated if required
Do not lean on windows
Only embark in presence of staff (unless otherwise indicated)
10.3 Chairlifts
Children under 1.25 m must be accompanied
Skiers and pedestrians may not share seats (except disabled guests with assistance)
Ask staff for help if needed
Remove straps before boarding
Respect boarding order and capacity
Follow safety bar instructions
Keep skis parallel and tips up
Do not jump, even during stops
Remain seated if unable to disembark
10.4 Surface Lifts (T-bars, etc.)
One adult and one child allowed if child is on skis
Hold poles in one hand, straps off
Stay on the track; no slaloming or letting go
Do not grab T-bars mid-line
Release gently at the designated point
Do not descend on the uphill track
Only cross tracks at marked crossings
11. Ski Slope Use Conditions
Clients must follow slope markings. TVGD accepts no liability for accidents outside marked trails. Slopes are closed outside operating hours and may be dangerous due to avalanche control or grooming machinery.
11.1 FIS Rules
The 10 FIS rules of conduct apply to all snow sports users (link).
Violations may result in ticket confiscation or cancellation. Civil or criminal action may follow.
12. MountainCart Use Conditions
Minimum age: 12 years
Minimum height: 140 cm
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Maximum weight: 110 kg
Only the official Bouquetins MountainCart trail may be used
Pedestrians have priority
Each session lasts maximum 1h30; any delays must be reported
13. Right of Revocation
Once an order is paid, it cannot be revoked.
14. Limitation of Liability
The Company strives to offer a safe service but is not liable for personal injury resulting from failure to follow safety protocols. Participation in activities is at the Client’s own risk, and the Client is responsible for their own insurance.
15. Data Protection and Privacy
TVGD processes personal data in accordance with Swiss law and the GDPR. Purchasing services implies consent to data collection and processing as detailed on this page.
16. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, have exclusive jurisdiction.
